The Pikey (Danda 4080m) trek is lying on the path of Solukhumbu district in eastern Nepal, The Pikey peak trek is stunning at an altitude of 4070 meters above sea level. As one of the newly discovered trekking routes in this destinations, Pikey Peak Trek offers travelers vast views of the snow, including some of the highest mountains in the world. In this newly trekking area one can observe the lifestyle and culture of some ethnic groups of Nepal including Sherpa, Chhetri, Gurung and Tamang. Tasting some of the local cuisine, we proceed to observe the unique flora and fauna of the region. You can explore different things in this trekking area, and the pressure of trekkers is less on this trekking trail. However, in recent years people have began to include Pikey Peak in travel books, which has resulted in a slight increase in number of visitors.

The Pikey Peak trek includes panoramic views of the world’s highest mountain, Mount Everest, as well as 8,000 other mountains, Makalu, Lhotse and Dhaulagiri. And Pikey Peak Trekking is considered as a moderate hiking trail that can be done without much difficulty.

Pikey Peak (Danda) trek begins from Bhandar, The journey takes to Bamti Bhandar which is about 7-8 hours drive from Kathmandu. We gradually reach the height from the store and go towards Namkheli. After climbing innumerable hills, we finally pass through Golla village and reach Pikey Base Camp at an altitude of 3,600 meters, from there we reach the summit of Pikey Peak (Danda 4080m) and return to Junbesi. The Pikey Peak trek ends at Phaplu, From Phaplu we return to Kathmandu by catching jeep or by flight.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu - Transfer to your hotel, by vehicle

Arrival at Kathmandu international airport, we pick you up by our private vehicle to your hotel, 30 minutes drive, Elevation: 1350m, Overnight Hotel with BB,

Day 02: Sightseeing Heritage of Kathmandu - Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath and Boudhanath.

This day is a sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. First we will visit the old Buddhist shrine of Swyambhunath, situated on the top of a hill west of the city, the most popular and instantly recognizable symbol of Nepal. The temple is colloquially known as the Monkey Temple. There are many small buildings and shrines down the hillside behind Swayambhunath. Then we visit Pashupatinath temple, one of the most sacred Hindu shrine in the world: the holy river Bagmati and the burning Ghats. Then we visit one of the oldest and biggest stupa, Boudhanath. Back to hotel, Overnight Hotel. with BB,

Day 03: Kathmandu-Bamti Bhandar - 7/8hrs drive, 235km, Elevation: 2,990m

Bamti Bhandar is situated in the northern part of Ramechhap district, at 235km from Kathmandu. it is known as the Sherpa settlement. you can easily reach Bamti Bhandar after about 7/8 hours of bus/ jeep. Nepal thok or Khurkot can be reached for lunch if one can travel by bus, from early 6 am in the morning. There are 10/12 local hotels available for tourists, Overnight guest house,

Day 04: Trek Bamti Bhandart-Namkheli - 7hrs walk, Elevation: 2300m,

Namkheli can be reached after 7 hours walking from Bamti Bhandar. After a 2-3 hours walk, we have a break in Thadakhola for lunch, after crossing Likhukhola situated at the border of Solukhumbu, and Ramechhap border of province. we walk via Chaulakharka–Lelepu. Namkheli can be reached after 3 hours. We can see very nice views of Numbur Himal from this route. Overnight in lodge.

Day 05: Namkheli–Golla, - 7hrs walk, Elevation: 2900m

3-4 hours to reach Golla from Namkheli, as Golla is considered to be the Sherpa language local name, it is called Gumba danda in Nepali. There are 2/3 hotels at Golla for tourists. Lunch break and visit 3 Gompas at Golla, named Orgen Sanang Chholing Gompa, Pema Dechhen Choling Gompa and Guru Padhma Sambhav Gompa. Gwale Sherpa inhabitants of Golla. overnight lodge.

Day 06: Golla-Pikey Base Camp - 6hrs walk , Elevation:3600m

The trail passes in a rhododendron forest, which are flowering in Spring season. If you come in Spring you will have the chance to see many wild birds and animals. You can see a great view of many snow-capped mountains as well. Three hours trek from Golla, via Lamomane-Dallemane-Muktumje, through a dense forest to Naur danda which consists of 5 hotels. During the trek one can observe the beautiful villages of Koshinasha, Golla and Gupchuka. After lunch, from Naaur danda 3 hours of uphill trek will lead to reach Pikey Base camp which is situated at an 3600m. Overnight Hotel

Day 07: Pikey BC-Pikey Peak-Junbesi - 7/8hrs walk, Elevation: 2700m

We wake up early morning with warm clothes and climb up Pikey Peak 4,070m. It takes about one hour to reach Pikey Peak (Danda). From Pikey Danda you will see the beautiful sunrise and magnificent view of the Himalayas as Dhaulagiri, Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Ama Damlam, Lhotse, Nuptse, Numbur, Gaurisankhar, Langtang to the far west and others mountains. After this unforgettable views, we will see all the mountains from Pikey peak as well. After that hike, we climb down to Jarsa Bhanjyang for breakfast. Then we trek towards Junbesi. In Taktor we have a lunch break, then we need 3 hrs hiking from Jarsa bhyanjyang. Junbesi is considered to be one of the most beautiful Sherpa villages, which stands at the height of 2990m. There is an ancient Buddhist Monastery. It was the Point old famous route of Everest Trekking Route. There are 8/10 hotels operated by local Sherpas. overnight in lodge.

Day 08: Junbesi-Thupten Chholing-Junbesi - 5hrs walk, Elevation: 3020m,

The Thupten Chholing Monatery is a celibated Buddhist monastery located in a high remote mountain area. Founded by His Holiness Thrulsik Rinpoche in 1960's, it was after fleeing Tibet an independent and autonomous institution. Consequently, Thupten Choling has been able to remain authentically traditional, and hidden from the outside world. Due to itsremoteness and increasing population, 700 resident monks and nuns live there , with dwindling resources, no public health facilities, and have little chance of sustaining themselves for a long term unless their limited resources are managed wisely. The Thupten Chholing Monastery is 2800m high. This day is on your own to explore: Explore the monastery and meditate with nuns. Rest and speak with monks and nuns. We will have lunch at Thupten Chholing Monastery. then climb back to Junbesi, Overnight Lodge.

Day 09: Junbesi-Chiwang-Phaplu, - 5hrs walk, Elevation: 2620m and 2468m

Trek to Phaplu trough Chiwong monastery: Chiwong monastery is situated at 9,000 feet on the cliff of Chiwong hill, at about a 3 hours walking distance from Phaplu airport. Chiwong Monastery echoes with the prayers and scholastic activities of many monks and nuns who reside there. Chiwong Monastery has privilege to host the Dza-Rong-Phuk Sangey Ngawang Tenzing Jangpo since 1955-1958. His Holiness Thrulshig Rinpoche has lived in this monastery from 1960 to 1967. Chiwong monastery celebrates Mani Rimdu festival, on the day of full moon in October in every year. The Mani Rimdu Festival is a colorful and spectacular occasion. Performed by the monks of Chiwong monasteries, it depicts the victory of Buddhism over the ancient ‘Bon’ religion. Phaplu is situated at 2400m. There is an airport, an hospital, There are 10 hotels for tourists. It is also possible to sightseen around Salleri Bazer, headquarter of Solukhumbu district, overnight at lodge.

Day 10: Jeep-Flight Back to Kathmandu, - 6hrs drive, 35 minutes flight, Elevation: 1330m

We wake up early morning to catch the flight, through the Himalayan mountain range back to Kathmandu. If we travel by jeep we depart at 7 am, by Arniko highway. you are transferred to hotel. rest of the day is free. Overnight Hotel with BB,

Day 11: Free day Kathmandu - prepare your luggage,

you may walk around the area of Thamel to shop for souvenirs, overnight same hotel with BB,

Day 12: Departure to International airport - by private vehicle,
