Mardi Himal is situated at the heart of central Nepal in Annapurna range; it can be reached from the city of Pokhara, situated at 850m and 200km from Kathmandu. The trip takes you through thick rhododendron forests on an unspoiled terrain up to 4800m, within few days walk, on a ridge running down from Machhapuchhare Peak (6992m). This trip can be done by who has a few holidays, because it is very short.

Back from Mardi Base camp, the itinerary goes down back into the Pokhara valley through dense forests with a fantastic landscape, and villages inhabited by Gurung, Tamang and Brahmins. This is an easily accessible wilderness trek, appropriated for an average trekker, and it is a still remote and unfrequented area, so we could do it in camping in tents, in an autonomous way.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu to hotel,
Day 02: Free day visit Kathmandu valley O/N same Hotel,
Day 03: Kathmandu- Pokhara by tourist bus 200km, elevation 850m
Day 04: Pokhara-Deurali 1hr drive and trek to Deurali, elevation 1900m,
Day 05: Deurali-Bheda Kharka 5hr walk, elevation 3200m,
Day 06: Bheda Kharka to Mardi BC, Elevation 3800m 5/6hr walk,
Day 07: Mardi BC to High Camp to Mardi BC 4hr walk, 4700m,
Day 08: Mardi BC – Bheda Kharka 4/5hr walk, 3200m,
Day 09: Bheda Kharka – Pathana 5hr walk, 1750m
Day 10: Pathana – Pokhara 3/4hr walk to Bhedi, 850m,
Day 11: Pokhara – Kathmandu – 200 km, 6/7hr traveling,
Day 12: Kathmandu rest day for souvenir,
Day 13: Departure to international airport.

Day 01 - Arrival at Kathmandu

We pick you up in Kathmandu international airport, welcome you, and transport to your hotel, with B&B- elevation 1350m

Day 02 - Free day in Kathmandu O/N same Hotel with BB

This day we visit some sites of the valley, and come back to same hotel. You prepare your trekking equipment.

Day 03 - Kathmandu- Pokhara by tourist bus 200km, elevation (850m) o/n at hotel with B&B,

Kathmandu-Pokhara: by tourist bus, we travel over the Prithvi Highway, following the banks of Trisuli and Marsyangdi Rivers. Pokhara is a clean city in Nepal, Phewa lake lies on the north west of the city.

Day 04 - Pokhara-Deurali 1hr drive and trek 2hrs walk, elevation 1900m O/N in guest house with BB/D

Pokhara to Deurali: we drive to Naudanda, then start trekking through Australian camp, to Pathana where there is check point for permits. Meanwhile we can see the panoramas range of Annapurna, Lamjung Himal and Dhaulagiri. After 2hrs walk we arrive at Deurali Danda, and spend the night there, with a nice view point.

Day 05 - Deurali-Bheda Kharka 5hr walk elevation 3200m O/N in small guest house with BB/D

This day we trek totally inside a dense forest, but we can see the mountains if the weather is clear. The trail is narrow as a monkey trail over the roots of the trees, we have to carry a pack-lunch and water in our bottles. When we arrive at Kharka, there is a lodge for the night.

Day 06 - Kharka to Mardi BC Elevation 3800m 5/6hr walk O/N in Guest house with BB/D

This day also we walk inside the dense forest before arriving at Mardi BC. We walk for 5/6 hours, we have to pack lunch this day too, and carry water ourselves. This day is a little bit hard because of the altitude, so you have to drink plenty of water. We can explore the super view points this day. There is a guest house, where you can enjoy all around the panoramas till night.

Day 07 - Mardi BC to High Camp to Mardi BC 4hr walk 4700m O/N same guest house with BB/D

We explore up the Mardi High camp, then come back to Mardi Base camp. This day also we have to prepare a pack-lunch and to gather water on our own. This is the final destination to explore the views of Annapurna range and Manaslu/Dhaulagiri 8000 meters. Back to Mardi BC.

Day 08 - Mardi BC - Kharka 4/5hr walk O/N same guest house with BB/D

We leave Mardi BC back to descend by the same trail, following the forest. Pack lunch this day too, same guest house

Day 09 - Kharka - Pathana 5hr walk 1750m O/N in guest house with BB/D

Back to the same trail through the dense forest of pines and oaks. We will have lunch in Deurali, and we descend in one hour to Pathana. From Pathana we can explore the beautiful view points.

Day 10 - Pathana - Pokhara 3/4hr walk to Bhedi,

We trek to Dhampus Phedi and catch the vehicle from Phedi to Pokhara (30 minutes), in Pokhara same hotel.

Day 11 - Pokhara - Kathmandu - 200 km, 6/7hr traveling, O/N same hotel with BB

Back to Kathmandu by tourist bus, 6/7 hours traveling, following the same highway. When you are near Thankot there will be a traffic jam, so we have to catch the bus early morning from Pokhara.

Day 12 - Kathmandu rest day O/N same Hotel with BB

This day is a rest day for souvenir

Day 13 - Final Departure to international airport

Final Departure to International airport by our private vehicle we will good bye,
