Annapurna Base Camp And Ghorepani Poonhill trekking is usually a loop around Chhamrung, Annapurna base Camp and Ghorepani. If you start from Phedi you can trek to Landruk, then cross the Modikhola river, reaching a place called Kyumi. A step path leads up from here to Chhamrung (1940m/6360ft). Chhamrung can also be approached directly from Nayapul through Syauli bazaar.
The path follows the Modikhola river, then after Syauli bazaar, it turns away from the river and begins ascending. After spending a night perhaps at Chhamrung-it is a large beautiful village with fabulous views of the Annapurna south-, you take the forested path between the two hills to Dovan, Annapurna Base Camp. Back to Tadapani, then you head west to Ghorepani. The panorama of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna mountains from Poon Hill view point (3190m/10,460ft), above Ghorepani is breathtaking. From Ghorepani, the trail descends steeply to Nayapul.
