Different communities live there, with a majority of Gurungs, Magars, Chhetri, Brahman, Thakali.
Round Dhaulagiri Trek is a challenging trek in Nepal. The seventh highest peak stands north-west part of Pokhara valley, among others in the western part of Nepal and north of the Tibet-Nepal border. Mount Dhaulagiri along with another 8 thousands peak, Mt Annapurna I, carving the world’s deepest gorge of Kali Gandaki River.

Day 01 - Arrival at Kathmandu
We welcome you and pick you up at the airport; 30 minutes to drive from the airport to the hôtel.
Day 02 - Free day in Kathmandu
This day, visit of Kathmandu valley and prepare the equipment. Overnight same hotel with BB
Day 03 - KTM-Pokhara-Beni Bazar, drive 9h
Departure KTM-Pokhara-Beni Bazar, by private vehicle (size depends on the group). We travel via Pokhara city, then to Beni Bazar (1000m,8/9 hours drive). Beni is on the edge of the Kali Gandaki river. O/N in a local guest house, with BB/D
Day 04 - Beni-Shyauli ghati/Khamla Village
By jeep on the edge of the river, we drive 5 hrs to Darbang and Kulleni (1450m). We start to trek up to Shyauli and Khamla, an orange garden. It is a 3:30hrs walk, between two hills beside the river. There is a home stay in Khamla, Night in tent or homestay with BB/D/L
Day 05 - Shyauli- Bagar (2070m)
We start to walk around at 7/8 am. We walk in trash and on the edge of the Myagdi river, cross a bridge and walk through a forest and agriculture fields. Bagar (2070m) is between two hills, there are almost 50 houses of Magar people there. 6hrs walk . Here is a home stay, overnight in tent or homestay, with BB/D/L
Day 06 - Bagar – Dovan (2520m)
We have to walk 5/6h, on a slope hill valley and inside the forest, to see a waterfall during the walking hour. In Dovan there are only two small tea houses, we put on the tent. 4/5hrs walk , night in tent/ or home stay, with BB/D/L
Day 07 - Dovan-Sallakhari (3445m)
We walk for 6 hours to Sallakhari, we ascend during the full day inside a dense forest, where we can see a waterfall and a bamboo forest. We camp inside a sub-pine trees forest, there are two small pastures for a tea house. Walk 6h, overnight camp in tent/ home, with BB/D/L
Day 08 - Sallakhari- Italian BC (3741m)
We ascend during 5 hours inside a bamboo forest and a sub-pines forest. There is a huge moraine landslide; then we climb up to a Juniper forest. Italian Base camp (3741m) is between the mountains on a little slope hill, like purge of the valley. 3 hrs walk here is a home stay ; overnight tent/home with BB/D/L
Day 09 - Rest, acclimatize day in Italian BC (3741m)
We rest for acclimatize in Italian Base camp (3741m), and we ascend for 2 hours over the Base camp glacier. There is a small gorge way to Dhaulagiri which we are going to pass, and we come back to the same camp. Overnight in tent/ home, with BB/D/L
Day 10 - Italian BC-Japanese BC (4500m)
We ascend for 6 hours to Japanese Base camp (4500m). All day long the walk is over the moraine rock, between the bottom of the two mountains. We can see Dhaulagiri One and Two. We prepare for this day a pack-lunch, because there is no solution to get or cook hot lunch. Camp over the moraine of an old Glacier (4500m). 6hrs walk, overnight in tent
Day 11 - Japanese BC-Dhaulagiri BC (4750m),
We ascend to Dhaulagiri Base camp (4750m). We walk during the full day for 6 hours over the moraine glacier, and between Dhaulagiri views. We camp over the moraine glacier (4750m), near Dhaulagiri one. 6 hrs walk, overnight in tent
Day 12 - Dhaulagiri BC-French pass (4750m)(5360m)-Hidden Valley/Tukuche BC (4800m)
We ascend the French pass (5360m) to Hidden Valley/Tukuche BC, (4800m). We walk for 7hrs, so we have to move on early morning, because of windy conditions in the pass; The best is to start at 5 AM. We can enjoy the view point: around you Tilicho, Nilgiri, Annapurna one, Dhaulagiri range, Tukuche peak, Yak Kawa, Thorong peak, range of Mustang. Fantastic view this day, but we have to be careful because of altitude sickness. So we carry 2 liters of hot water, and we prepare a pack-lunch this day also. You can walk with our Nepali staff on this day. (4800m). 7 hrs walk, over night tent
Day 13 - Hidden Valley-Thapa pass (5244m) Yak Kharka (3800m)
We ascend and little descend on a flat mountain trail, with a slope valley and beautiful panoramas from the Thapa pass. We walk for 8 hours this day, it's an adventure day too. You have to move early morning. It is very windy after Thapa pass to Batashe hill, it is better to be more careful this day than yesterday. We walk on a huge large fallen slop cornice, and from Yak Kharka we can see Jomsom and Marpha villages below. O/N in tents
Day 14 - Yak Kharka-Marpha Village (2680m)
On this day we have only a huge descent inside a juniper trees forest. We walk for 5 hours to Marpha. This village is inhabited by Thakali people. Marpha is famous for its apples, and is a beautiful buddhist village; there is a bouddhist monastery. O/N in guest house.
Day 15 - Rest Marpha, Shang village
This day we rest, but if you want to visit Shyang village, it is a 3 hours' walk go and back. There is a famous Bouddhist monastery, as Bön religion came from Tibet in 7/8th century. Then you come back to Marpha village, on the edge of the Kali Gandaki river. O/N in guest house
Day 16 - Marpha-Tatopani by local bus
On early morning, we catch the bus or a jeep (depends on the group). At 7/8 AM we catch the vehicle to Tatopani, and we travel in the gorge of Kaligandaki river. Drive for 5hrs. In Tatopani there is a hot spring, so you can go and enjoy it; there is ticket system to entry. Over night in Guest house with BB/D
Day 17 - Tatopani (1200m)-Ghorepani (2850m)
We walk for 5/6 hours to Ghorepani. We have to cross the river Kaligandaki and ascend during the full day, in an area dominated by the Brahman and Magar villages, with colored houses, farming soils. Ghorepani is on a hill top, in a Rhododendron forest; this is main point of the Annapurna trekking. There are many tourists and guest houses. Overnight in a lodge with BB/D
Day 18 - Ghorepani-Poon hill (3153m)-Hille village,
This day in the morning at 4 AM we have to climb up to Poon Hill, before the sunrise on the mountains. So we can see a beautiful view point from Poon Hill (3153m). Then back to Ghorepani to have breakfast. We leave to Hille village, to descend slope step stones and cross the bridge; there are many guest houses. 6hrs walk .
Day 19 - Hille-Nayapul-Pokhara
We head to descend to Nayapul and Pokhara: we walk for 3 hours over the bumping road, and catch the bus Nayapul- Pokhara. We drive for 1 hour. We will stay in an hotel with Bed and Breakfast, near lakeside. Pokhara is a beautiful city, close to Phewa lake, and it is a touristic center point. Overnight hotel, with BB
Day 20 - Pokhara-Kathmandu
On this day in the morning we catch the flight to Kathmandu. We will fly at around 11/12AM or 2/3PM, it takes 30mn. We pick you up with our private vehicle to the hotel. Overnight hotel, with BB
Day 21 - Free day in Kathmandu
This day we propose you to rest and prepare your baggage. Overnight same hotel with BB
Day 22 - Final departure
We take you to the International airport by our private vehicles, and wish you a good journey.
