Ghorepani Poon Hill trekking is one of the easiest trekking routes in Annapurna Region. The trail takes you through the beautiful Modi khola valley up to Poon Hill, in the Annapurna massif. Poon Hill is a view point to see the Annapurna peaks, including Machhapuchhare (Mt. Fishtail), Mt. Dhaulagiri to the north and the other southern valleys. The region is inhabited by Gurung and Magar, both ethnic groups of Nepal. While descending on the way back to Pokhara, we pass through the stone paved courtyards of Ghandruk, a Gurung village, and there we can experience their old tradition and culture; you can witness in the Gurung Museum their living style.

The trek starts from Pokhara and you can see the beautiful rhododendrons (Nepal’s national flower) forests, green hills, lovely views on Mt. Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri North and South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, FishTail Mountain, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, II, III, IV Mardi Himal and Lamjung Himal.

Normal Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu to your hotel,
Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara,
Day 03: Pokhara to Ulleri village,
Day 04: Ulleri to Ghorepani,
Day 05: Ghorepani to Poonhill-Ghorepani-Tadapani,
Day 06: Tadapani to Ghandruk village,
Day 07: Ghandruk to Pokhara,
Day 08: Pokhara to Kathmandu,
Day 09: Free day in Kathmandu,
Day 10: Departure from International airport.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu -

Arrival at Kathmandu (1350m). We pick you up with our private vehicle in the international airport. Check-in and refresh in the hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara -

KTM-Pokhara (850m) by tourist bus. It takes 6/7hr drive, on Prithvi highway. O/N in a hotel with BB.

Day 03: Pokhara to Ulleri village -

Pokhara-Ulleri village: After 1 hr drive to Nayapool, we start to trek. 5 hrs walk, 1950m; O/N in guest house

Day 04: Ulleri to Ghorepani -

Ulleri-Ghorepani: (2850m) 5hrs walk. We ascend to Ghorepani inside a Rhododendron and sub-pine forest following Nange Dhandi. After a break for lunch, we walk 2h more to Ghorepani. O/N in guest house

Day 05: Ghorepani to Poonhill-Ghorepani-Tadapani -

Poonhill (3200m) - Ghorepani-Tadapani: (2650m), 6hrs walk. We climb to Poonhill to watch the viewpoint of panorama and sunrise in the morning. We come back to the same hotel for breakfast, and continue to Tadapani. O/N in guest house

Day 06: Tatapani to Ghandruk village -

4hrs walk to Ghandruk village,1870m. A nice view appears from this side. O/N in guest house

Day 07: Ghandruk to Pokhara -

Pokhara valley: (850m), 4/5hrs walk and we catch a vehicle from Nayapool to Pokhara. After 1hr drive, we visit Phewa Lake. O/N in a hotel with BB

Day 08: Pokhara to Kathmandu -

We come back by the same highway to Kathmandu by tourist bus; drive 6/7hrs, o/n in a hotel, with BB

Day 09: Free Day in Kathmandu -

This day you can visit the heritage site of Kathmandu valley and do shopping. O/N in the same hotel with BB,

Day 10: Departure International airport, -

Final departure to the international airport.
