Upper Mustang Region Trek,

Large dots interest: authentic Tibetan ancient traditions of Mustang, beautiful villages of Upper Mustang and Lho-Manthang, the beautiful views of the chain of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, (8000m) Mountains, and 7000m/6000m Mountains. The ever-flowing Kaligandaki river has become the witness to the lifestyle of the people in this part of Nepal.
Walking from the deepest gorge to the driest and windiest places makes your trip to Upper Mustang adventurous and memorable. The Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri Mountains’ glaciers are the sources of the Kaligandaki river. The final trekking point of this route is Lo Manthang, which touches the exit point of Nepal towards Chinese Tibet. The journey could be completed with the treats at Jomsom, Kagbeni, Muktinath, Lho-manthang Pass and clustered Tibetan villages, Thakali community. Along with the wonderful views of mountains, this will give you worth of every penny spent on the tour.

Day 01: Kathmandu Hotel - Arrival Kathmandu Nepal Elevation:1350m

We pick you up from the airport to the hotel. Night in a hotel, near Thamel with B&B.

Day 02: Kathmandu- Pokhara - Elevation: 850m

Departure KTM/Pokhara, by tourist bus; it takes 6h. Night in a hotel with B&B.

Day 03: Pokhara-Jomsom - Elevation: 2800m-2850m

Pokhara/Jomsom: by flight, Catch early morning sometime it will be bad weather, it takes 25 minutes. Then 3 hours walk Jomsom/ Kagbeni village. Night in guest house, with BB/D/L

Day 04: Kagbeni-Chele village - Elevation: 3110m

Kagbeni/ Chele-Tsele village: walk 5/6h, Today enter upper mustang region, walk edge of the kaligandaki and it will start strong windy after 10 am, Night in guest house, with BB/D/L

Day 05: Chele-Gheling Village - Elevation: 3570m

Chele/Gheling village: walk 6/7h, Situated in the heart of the remote Upper Mustang region, often considered the "Last Forbidden Kingdom" Night in guest house/lodge, with BB/D/L

Day 06: Gheling-Dragmar vilolage - Elevation: 3680m

Gheling Village/Dragmar village: walk 5h, crossing Beja la (3840m) and Yamdo la (4000m). Dhakmar (also call Drakmar or Dragmar) in the Upper Mustang region of Nepal is located at an altitude of approximately 3840m, Night in guest house/lodge, with BB/D/L

Day 07: Dragmar- Charang Village - Elevation: 3570m

Dragmar village/Charang village: (walk 5h, we cross the Nyi la (4050m) and visit Ghar Gompa. and to the charang village, Ghar Gompa (Lo Gekhar Monastery) built in the 8th century by Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) the oldest monasteries in Mustang and potentially in world. Located in Lo Gekhar Damodar Kunda region at an altitude 3931m, affiliated with the Nyingma sect of Buddhism. Charang (also call Tsarang) significant and picturesque village located in Upper Mustang, Region of Nepal, often described as a second-largest village in this area a key stop for travelers exploring the arid, Tibetan-influenced landscape. overnight lodge, with BB/D/L

Day 08: Charang-Lo-Manthang village - Elevation: 3620m

Charang village Lo-Manthang:
walk 6h, cross the pass Lo La (3900m) Lo Manthang is a historically significant, walled dotted village located in the Upper Mustang region in north of Nepal, Near Tibet border. Known as forbidden kingdom or "last Tibetan kingdom" of Nepal served as the capital of the former Kingdom of Lo of upper Mustang, which maintained traditional, independent culture for over 600 years until it was integrated into Nepal in 2008. Night in lodge, with BB/D/L

Day 09: Exploring day Chhoser Cave Monasteries - Elevation: 3790m

Rest in Lo-Manthang Village: exploring the Lo-Manthang monasteries (3790m) and visit Chhoser- Jhong cave and monasteries. Jhong cave is a magnificent cave system carved into a vertical cliff near Chhoser village in upper mustang, Man-made wonder widely known as Chhoser cave or Jhong cave also Standing nearly 50 meters (165 feet) tall architectural marvel contains over 40 interconnected rooms spread across five floors.

The entrance of cave is narrow and small but enough space, heights and skylight from ventilation inside. Stone staircases connect the first floor then wooden ladders link other floors. Each level contains multiple rooms that served various functions: sleeping quarters, storage areas, meditation chambers, defense room and communal spaces. Back to the same guest house. 5/6hrs walk, night in guest house, with BB/D/L

Day 10: Lo-Manthang-Yara - Elevation; 36910m

Lo-Manthang /Yara: 5h walk, via Lo-La: 3900m, Trail leads to long forbidden kingdom in remote land of spectacular Tibetan influence canyons, gorges. The six hour journey, crossing bridge and Dhea village and Surkhang village. lunch in Dhea village which is full of farming fields along path on the bank of river to reach Yara. night in guest house, with BB/D/L

Day 11: Yara village-Tangya Village - Elevation: 3240m

Yara/Tangya village: walk 6h, Cross Thye River, ascend 2hrs and descend to Tangya village. Tangye is a small village situated 3240 meters above sea level. The village surrounded by snow-capped mountains, Himalayan meadow and high cliff. The village known unique culture, traditional architecture, and breathtaking natural beauty. One of the most fascinating aspects, The village is traditional architecture. Houses are traditional made of stone, mud, and wood style roofs are flat, and they are used to dry crops and store firewood. The walls of the houses are decorated with intricate carvings and paintings, which depict various religious and cultural themes. Night in lodge, with BB/D/L

Day 12: Tangya-Chhusang - Elevation: 2980m-4200m Pa-La

Tangya-Chhusang: walk 10h, with a pack-lunch as there is no guest-house, this is final long and hard day to wolk, cross a pass at 4200m 2980m. Night in lodge, with BB/D/L

Day 13: Chhusang-Jomsom - Elevation: 2800m

Chhusang/Jomsom: walk 7h, edge of the kaligandaki river up to the Jomsom, with windy day, lunch in Kagbeni, (2800m): night in guest house, with BB/D

Day 14: Jomsom-Pokhara - Elevation: 850m fly 7000-10000m

Jomsom/Pokhara by flight or Jeep reserve, 25 minutes by flight but depend on the weather, and by jeep 5/7hr drive, night in hotel with BB

Day 15: Pokhara-Kathmandu - Elevation: 1350m

Pokhara/Kathmandu by tourist bus or jeep private, (200 km), 6/8hr drive, Night in hotel, with BB

Day 16: Kathmandu Rest - Elevation:1350m

Rest in Kathmandu, for souvenir: night in the same hotel, with BB

Day 17: Departure International airport - by Private Vehicle

Final departure to International Airport Kathmandu.
