Trekking Region and Route Permits and Fees!

The Immigration Department located in Kalikasthan, Dillibazar issues permit to tourists who intend to trek in any part of the country. Trekking permits are as follows.

Permit and Fees of Trekking region  and  routes:
A trekking permit is essential to visit the restricted areas mentioned below. To visit normal trekking areas, no permission is required.

Restricted areas that have been opened for the Trekking groups:
The following restricted areas are only open to group hikers. And a trekking permit will not be issued to individual trekkers for these areas. The required zones and fees are as follows:

SN Trekking Areas and                              Trekking permit fees
1 Dolpa

a) Dolpa neighborhood                    Per week per person $=10 Or convertible foreign currency equivalent.
b) Upper Dolpa regions                            For the first 10 days per person, $=500 and after 10 days per day per  person, $=50.

2 Kanchanjanga region:
Taplejung District : Olangchunggola, Lelep, Papung and Yamphudin Village Development Committee areas)

Per week per person USD 10 Or convertible foreign currency equivalent.

3 Mustang Ward (Upper Mustang) For the first 10 days per person, $=500 and after 10 days per day per person, $=50.

4 Gorkha District (Manaslu region)
TsumValley-Chhekampar & Chumchet VDC (Sirdibas-Lokpa-Cumling-Chhekampar-Nile-Chhule region)
September to November per week per person $=70 and After 7 days per day per person $=10. and from December to August per week per person $ =50 and After 7 days per day per person $= 7 /Or foreign convertible equivalent currency.

5 Dolakha District (Gauri Shankar & Lamabagar),  Humla District (Simikot and Yari)
Limi and Muchu village development committee areas, and route to Tibet via Tangekhola village development committee of Darma.

For the first 7 days per person $=50 and After 7 days per day per person $=7 Or equivalent convertible foreign currency.

6 Rasuwa District:- Thuman and Timure.

Per week per person $=10, or convertible foreign currency equivalent.

7 Sankhuwasabha District:

(Makalu Region):-Kimathanka, Chepuwa, Hatiya areas and Pawakhola Village Development Committee.

For the first 4 weeks per week per person $=10 and After 4 weeks per week per person $=20. or equivalent in convertible foreign currency.

8 Solukhumbu District:
Makalu Region):  Kimathanka, Chepuwa, Hatiya areas and Pawakhola Village Development Committee.

For the first 4 weeks per week per person $=10. and After 4 weeks per week per person $=20. or equivalent in convertible foreign currency.

9 Manang District:

Nar, Phu and Tilche Village North Areas of Thochhe Village Development Committee From September to November,

Per week per person $=90 and from December to August per week per person $=75. Or equivalent in convertible currencies.

10 Mugu District:

Mugu, Dolpu, Pulu and Bhangri areas.

During the first 7 days per person, $=90. and After 7 days per day per person, $=15 Or an equivalent convertible foreign currency.

11 Baihang District:

Kanda, Saipal, Dhuli areas.

During the first 7 days per person, $=90. and After 7 days per day per person, $=15. Or an equivalent convertible foreign currency.

12 Darchula District:

Byas Village Areas Development Committee. During the first 7 days per person, $=90. and After 7 days per day per person, %=15. Or an equivalent convertible foreign currency.

Please note:
To obtain a group trekking permit, an application form with other relevant documents must be submitted through any registered trekking agency in Nepal, such as with Himalayanrandonner.
Trekking fees can be paid in Nepalese currency: Notwithstanding everything written above, the Indian citizen can pay in Nepalese currency equivalent to US dollars.
