First thing you will need a visa, although many countries visa process is difficult but Nepal has made quite easy for travelers. Whether by air or land, you will need a visa to enter Nepal unless, If you are an Indian citizen. In order to enter Nepal, visas can be obtained upon request at entry points. There are mainly three ways to enter Nepal.

Visa for Indian Nationality
Indian nationalities do not need a visa to enter Nepal, but to travel to Nepal by air or land, they must show their passport or ID card issued by the Indian government. And Under 10 years old Children do not need to show ID.
Extension of tourist visa
The visa extension fee for 15 days or less is US$30 or equivalent foreign currency and visa extension fee. More than 15 days is US$2 per day. The tourist visa can be extended for a maximum period of 150 days within a single visa year (January – December).
Transit Visa
All foreigners, if they have made Nepal as a transit point to visit another country, will use Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) for overnight stay, with a valid flight ticket or any foreigner traveling in the plane accidentally forced for any circumstances will be issued transit visa. You must pay US$5 or the equivalent in foreign currency.

Nepal is connected by road from India and China (Tibet only). The common borders to enter Nepal by road are as follows:

All foreigners, except Indians, must have a visa. Nepalese embassies and consulates abroad issue visas without a fuss. You can also get one locally when you arrive in Nepal, Either at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu or by road at the borders at the aforementioned places. The visa is valid for entry for three to six months from the date of issue. Children under 10 require a visa but do not pay a visa fee. Your passport must be valid for at least six months. And Indian nationality do not need a visa. And Citizens of South Asian countries and China require visas, but these are free.
But citizens of these countries do not get visas upon arrival at Nepal immigration entry points as an countries: Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine and Afghanistan.
