The Tamu Trail trek is a heritage of Gurung community of Nepal is a Mongolian Tibetan ethnic group, living in the western part of Nepal. Most of them, known as ‘Tamu’ live in Kaski, Lamjung, Baglung, Gorkha and Dhading districts. These Ethnic known around the world for their bravery in World War II, which was under British rule. These dreaded warriors usually live in deep valleys and high mountains and have their own language, culture, traditions. The trek reaches about four majors Gurung/Ghale villages in Lamjung and Kaski districts of Nepal. Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu - International airport 1350m

we pick up you in airport according to your flight arrival schedule, 20 minutes drive to Hotel, O/N Hotel with BB

Day 2: Kathmandu - Sight seeing

After Breakfast we depart for visit heritage of Kathmandu, First will visit Swayambhu nath temple, Patan durbar square, Pasupatinath Temple, last Boudha nath Stupa, Back to same Hotel, O/N Hotel with BB

Day 3: Departure to Besisahar - 5hrs drive, 1396m

Six-hours drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar, the first stop is the Tamu/Gurung Museum where visitors pay respects to a statue of Harka Gurung (right), the famous Nepali geographer who was among the 23 killed in a helicopter crash in 2006 at Ghunsa in Kangchenjunga. Also killed was Chandra Gurung, the pioneer environmentalist who helped establish the Annapurna Conservation Area. Harka Gurung’s birthplace of Ngadi is also his burial site. but we stay in Besisahar, O/N guest house,

Day 4: Besisahar to Ghalegaon - 3/4hrs walk, 2117m

Trek to Ghalegaon, it is up the dirt switchbacks to the bucolic village of Ghale Gaun (Kuinli Nasa in Tamu) which has become a staging point for scenic treks in the area. This is where the Ghale rulers from Khola Sonthar first settled. The last Ghale king was Ghyalpo Rajalke, and there is a statue in his honor near the ruins of his palace below. Local cultural groups perform for visiting tourists with naumati baja and traditional Gurung dances like Ghanto, Sorathi, Pachyu and Ghyabre. O/N Guest house

Day 5: Ghalegaon to Bhujung Gaon- Sonthar-Samiro Kuna - 5/6hrs walk, 2850m

Trek Ghale Gaun to Bhujung village it is a pleasant ridge hike, but there is now also a motorable road. Bhujung has homestays and the locals are extra hospitable to visitors. The trek to Kohla Sonthar starts here, and it is a steep walk along the trails, with the clouds often drifting in and flowing across forests of rhododendron and oak draped with orchids. Stop over at Samiro Kuna for the night by the side of a gurgling brook. O/N Camp in tent

Day 6: Bhujung/Samiro Kuna to Kobaro Hill-Ngasi Kharka - 5/6hrs walk, 3362m

Trek to Kobara Hill, The day is a steep climb to Kobaro Hill at 3,300 and then down to Ngasi Kharka for the night stop, a meadow where villagers bring their livestock to graze during monsoon. The walk is arduous, but the scenery and tranquility of the forests with rhododendron in full bloom more than makes up for the fatigue but can enjoyable with views of panaramas, O/N Camp in tent,

Day 7: Ngasi Kharka to Kohla Sonthar below tangting village - 5/6hrs walk in karpu danda, 2000m

Trek to Sonthar today is a little hard walk of a few hours from Ngasi Kharka to Kohla Sonthar, the final destination (below). Vegetation has partly taken over the ancient ruins of Gurung ancestors. bellow Tangting village,

Day 8: Sonthar Khola to Siklis village - 5hrs walk, 2500m

The route from Kohla Sonthar to Siklis (Chiuli Nasa) is not well trodden and the trail down to the Madkyu Khola is steep and rough. It takes all day to finally get to the picturesque village of Siklis anf views of Annapurna range, Silkis is used to many trekkers and there is always a cultural troupe at hand to provide music and dance in the evenings and many lodges. And this is final village as beautifuls with views, O/N in Lodge,

Day 10: Rest Siklis Village - Exploring Siklis village

These rest day you explore Siklis village and their lifestyle. from Siklis village we can offer unforgettable spectacular 360 views of the surrounding forests.

Day 11: Siklis to Nyauli Kharka - 4/5hrs walk, 1850m

Trek to Nyauli Kharka is step up and down inside the forest rhododendron and oak and bamboo, but the trail is like monkey trail, because no more person use, there is camp site in forest and can camp, O/N in tent,

Day 12: Forest camp to ghale gaon-Bhurjung village, - 5hrs walk, 1680m

Trek to Bhurjung village via another Ghale gaon, walk inside the forest before arrive ghale gaon, and descend to the Bhurjung village through Kharkajung,
you reach you final destination,

Day 13: Bhrjung to Pokhara - 1hr walk, and 2hrs drive, 850m

this is a final trek to walk an hour and catching the private vehicle to Pokhara, we catch vehicle in Tallokot or Puran chaur, and 2 hours drive to Pokhara, and visit Pokhara city, as lake of bhewa and peace stupa, and back to hotel, O/N Hotel with BB,

Day 14: Pokhara to Kathmandu - 6hrs drive, 1350m,

After breakfast we move for Kathmandu 200km. The views of town, river, village and River, rice terrace, gigantic mountains will be seen on the way back to Kathmandu, O/N Same Hotel with BB

Day 15: Final departure - to Kathmandu international airport

we will provide you the private vehicle according to your flight schedule on time, we drop you to Kathmandu international airport,
