Manaslu area lies in the mid-northern Tibet border of Nepal, within Gorkha District; this region was opened for trekkers in 1990 to explore the mythical universe of living Tibetan tradition. Gorkha was a small independent state, from where the unification of modern Nepal began to be; it is the starting point of the trek. The Gurung village of Laprak can be reached by two different routes, either along the Daraundi valley or via the hillside of Dharche. Dharche is a magnificent panoramic view point to admire the lofty mountain summits like Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Buddha Himal, Himalchuli, Annapurna and so on.

After Laprak, we follow the Budhi Gandaki valley, the trail continues northwards, passing through many villages of Tibetan origin. These villages offer an opportunity to explore their customs and cultures, monasteries, prayer flags, prayer wheels and prayer walls.

Highlights: Laprak and Barpak Gurung/Ghale village, Mt Manaslu (8167m.)
